Educational background, studies & courses
I have a Bachelor of Arts and studied Fashion Design in Spain where I lived for almost a decade. During the recent years I have taken various courses connected to the world of textiles. Gaining a deep knowledge in materials and fibers and having a broader understanding of the design process. I have also learned about sustainable fashion and how to create a textile process in a circular flow. I believe that it is important to always keep developing and learning.

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Fashion Design validated by the University of Westminster at IED Barcelona. Studies focused on innovative and creative design and developing an aesthetic style relevant to the international fashion industry.

The course provided insights on the fundamentals of knitting. Different knitting structures and the knitting mechanisms on the machines such as flatbed knitting and circular knitting.

Course focusing on childrenswear. Teaching the skills about this growing market. Providing the technical knowledge to create designs for kids.

Focused on teaching communication skills to work professionally in the fashion world. Subjects contained, fashion system and production process. Understanding of production coordination such as the handling of samples, quality controll creating excel files to place oders.

A course that investigates the roles of textiles in our society. From a historical point of view, present-day, and in future contexts. Provides designers to orient their practice in relationship to larger issues, deeper meanings, and mindsets.

A course about the circular sustainability design process. I gained knowledge in the textile value chain and in textile materials, from fibre level to finished products. By analyzing textile processes in a circular flow, it leads to natural resources being used and recycled without losses. The lectures shed light on various textile quality aspects, with the intention of being able to choose alternative materials to create a circular product.

I learned how to create designs for woven, knitted or printed fabrics. These can be used for furnishings, clothing, packaging,floor and wall coverings. Knowledge in textile technology and the latest research in materials and fibers.

A course that analysed and compared human cultures. Dealing with the origin and distribution of culture, distinguishing characteristics of people. Researching the contrasts and differences and understanding the changes in culture.

Escorpion is a Spanish brand specialised in knitwear. With origins dating back all the way to 1929. The headquarters are situated in the heart of Barcelona. The brand can be found in Spains biggest chain of department stores El corte Inglés.
